Comedy Movies Playing In Theaters! The something I love about moving into Los Angeles will be the number of revival houses and single screen movie theaters you can still go to. I'm not referring to your multiplexes which are playing the most up-to-date Hollywood blockbusters, I'm talking about those historic theatres that have fun playing the classic movies we loved watching when we were becoming an adult. Many of these films we first watched on television or rented them on VHS from the local video stores (back when they existed), but we never got a chance to see them about the big screen where they belonged. But thanks to places like New Beverly Cinema, the Egyptian Theatre and Grauman's Chinese among other movie theatres, we finally get to see them the way they were can be seen.
Now I know many people who today would prefer to curl up around the sofa watching movies in your house, these cult movies should be seen on the big screen should you be ever in Los Angeles.
"The Rocky Horror Picture Show"
This musical comedy horror cult classic which stars Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick plus the great Tim Curry being a "sweet transvestite from Transsexual, Transylvania" may be the longest-running midnight movie of them all. Thirty-eight years after "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" arrived on the scene, will still be playing in limited release and midnight screenings keep taking place all over America.
