I don't think piracy will ever hurt the movie industry, but I do think the excitement toward remakes and poor quality movies will affect the. Eventually, people might be more considering the old classic movies instead of the mediocre formulas that are filling the screens currently. The major Hollywood studios will forfeit more to competition from foreign films and independent films that they will from piracy.
